| Oblivion was awesome. I beat that game so many times, I lost count, and it had so many mods for it. never played Morrowind, but so far, Oblivion is my favorite til Skyrim gets so mods going. Awww...I got my little queen into Elderly Scrolls. Thats how much she loves me, she willing to play my type of games _________________ | Quote: | [list][*]J. | Having played and owned both. I must say taht Skyrim is better. I remember i bought the xbox360 and oblivion right when they came out. and i was so unbelieveably amazed. the graphics, the story, the massive open feel to it. just amazing. i played it for years and beat it many times (no mods thank you) then i bought skyrim thinking it will be about the same as oblivion with maybe a few things here and there that are better. but i was very surprised to see that it is better in almost everyway. the menu is much more streamlined. and there is ALOT of action even in the first 5 minutes after you finish making your character. then as you grow your player and continue to delve deeper into things you find that you can easily sink 200 hours into this and still feel overwhlemed by how much there is left to do. atm i have over 50 running quests just to give you an idea. just amazing. PLAY IT! |

| I have both on 360 and...Oblivion is better. After spending so long in Oblivion, playing Skyrim for more than an hour at a time bores me, as its essentially Oblivion with a better UI. Yeah, the shouts and dragons are cool, but I just jeep thinking I'm back in Cyrodil (can't remember how to spell it) and I get bored. Also, dungeons last WAY too long in Skyrim for seemingly no reason whatsoever. Any of those 'Find the word of power' subquests take you to a dungeon where you inevitably have to fight some ridiculous boss with no explanation as to why he's there or why he wants you dead. I don't know, its like with Fallout New Vegas...I played Fallout 3 to death, and when I try and play Vegas its just more of the same, it fails to immerse me into it cause there's nothing majorly new to it, the terrain looks the same and the npc's are still stupid. I loved Oblivion, and I love Skyrim, but not as much. _________________ |

| The thing I can say about this is that each game was better than the least. The Elder Scrolls always had semi-decent to decent graphics for the time they came out, like ES:O in 2004. That was beast graphics for 2004. Except Skyrim is the best, much improved but it'll be the same for the next ES. |

| Morrowind is by far the best. Best story, best setting, and as long as you're playing it on the PC the best graphics. (You just need to spend hours modding it first) |

| Skyrim is the best. Morrowind and Oblivion are too outdated. Morrowind at least. Skyrim you can track everything, or you can just kick-back and listen to the story, whereas Morrowind you have to spend ages reading, it's like fucking WoW but you have to read the quest text. Morrowind may have given people the most memories and enjoyment when it came out, but if you're playing them now, Skyrim is the only option. Morrowind is unplayable by my standards, considering it doesn't kick any nostalgia. There's always Fallout New Vegas too, but i personally don't like the setting. Just get Guild Wars 2 when it comes out. It's an MMO, it's third person so you get a massive and immersive FOV and an awesome combat system. but not for you console scrubs plus no subscription fee. |

| I always turn off voice overs in all games when possible. I find them obnoxious. And using this guide Morrowind makes Skryim look outdated, provided you've got the hardware to do it.

| i've seen the HD packs for Morrowind, and they don't make it look better than skyrim. all they are are just high rez texture packs and more bloom. mabye HD Morrowind looks better than Skyrim on console, but that's not too hard.
And how could a pokemon fan turn off voices? that would make the game go WAY slower, and pokemon makes any people who play it enough incredibly impatient gamers. |

| It's a lot more advanced than HD textures. Improved water, realistic light, smoothed meshes, extremely realistic trees, windows glowing at night, depth of field, Being able to see from one side of the island to the other, and a huge project that more than triples the size of the game. To me Skyrim was nice to visit, but Morrowind will always be home.
And on the topic of voice overs my impatience is exactly why I turn it off. I read much faster than people talk so I keep skipping to the next line halfway through the person talking. Very immersion breaking to hear

| i see, that makes sense. i read much slower than i hear, but in skyrim i just skipped through the dialogue. wow habits die hard. oh, and Morrowind has the best theme by a long shot. |
